  • 2010-12-02: Do not forget to sign up for the exam, which is on Thursday 16 December: otherwise, a seat in the exam hall cannot be guaranteed.
  • 2010-11-22: Do not forget the guest lecture on propagation over continuous domains by Warwick Tucker on Monday 29 November.
  • 2010-11-06: Do not forget the guest lecture on the regular constraint by Christian Schulte on Tuesday 16 November.
  • 2010-10-19: Assignment 4 was published at Homeworks. All necessary material has been taught already.
  • 2010-10-09: Gecode 3.4.1 and Gecode 3.4.2 were released, including improved installation instructions. No upgrades in the Unix & Windows labs will be made, and upgrading your own installation is not required for this course.
  • 2010-10-05: Assignment 3 was published at Homeworks. All necessary material has been taught already.
  • 2010-10-05: The deadlines for Assignments 2 to 4 are postponed by 48 hours at Homeworks.
  • 2010-10-05: Slides L03a, L04b, L05, and L06b have been uploaded again at Lectures & Slides, without the yellow highlighting of defined words, as this does not seem to work on all PDF viewers.
  • 2010-09-29: The homework rules for solo and late submission have been tightened at Homeworks: exceptions have to be requested as soon as possible, and normally during office hours and no later than a week before the deadline.
  • 2010-09-29: The ethics rules have been clarified at Homeworks: the certification on the coversheet that each teammate can individually explain any part of the report of course holds at the moment of submitting the report, and we of course reserve the right to make checks. The cover page (PDF, LaTeX) has been updated accordingly.
  • 2010-09-29: The Monday 1 November lecture will take place in room ITC 1111, not in room ITC 1311.
  • 2010-09-23: Assignment 2 was published at Homeworks. All necessary material will have been taught on Monday 27 September.
  • 2010-09-23: The project portfolio was published at Homeworks. You can start right away, but especially the modelling lectures are worth waiting for before finalising your report. Another 5 bonus points can be earned in a run-time competition on the project.
  • 2010-09-20: The Tuesday 21 September lecture will take place in room ITC 2146, not in room ITC 1311.
  • 2010-09-16: The recommended reading list within MPG was trimmed at Lectures & Slides, knocking out some 120 technical pages.
  • 2010-09-03: Assignment 1 was published at Homeworks. All necessary material has been taught already.
  • 2010-09-03: A discussion forum was created at the Student Portal page for this course.
  • 2010-05-28: These pages were created and will be continuously updated until and during the course.
