Admission, requirements, fees


In our selection process, our aim is to estimate your chances of coming to Uppsala and sucessfully following the programme. Our judgement is based on our impression of the entire application.

Application deadline: 15th January 2017 (Swedish Students: 15th April 2017)


Fees are only applicable for students from outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.

For students from within the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland education in Sweden is free.

You must fulfill the general requirements for master programmes. There is a possibility of conditional admission if you expect to receive your B.Sc. degree before the beginning of the academic year, but after the deadline for application. A high level of English is required to successfully follow the MSc programmes offered by the IT department. Note: conditional admission does not apply to the English test, i.e. you need to satisfy this requirement when you apply.

You must also fulfill the specific requirements for the programme you choose. In particular, your Bachelor degree should include courses that provide a sufficient ground in Mathematics and Computer Science. Details are given on each programme's web page.
