Winternet (2003-2005, Uppsala universitet, Sweden)
Winternet is a national research project to enhance the Internet architecture so that it will be able to accommodate the new requirements that are emerging as a result of its success. BlueStreak (2002, Uppsala universitet, Sweden)
M. Wiggberg, E. Köhler, P. Hedqvist, P. Gunningberg
The BlueStreak project at Uppsala universitet aimed to investigate the possibilities to merge Bluetooth with other wireless access technologies in order to build a merged infrastructure for communication. The project focused on the principles behind Vertical Handover.
The key idea behind BlueStreak among with some other ideas in the wireless communication area was collected in a business case. And late 2002 that business case became the starting point for a new startup company, OptiMobile.
C4 (2001, University of New South Wales, Australia)
M. Wiggberg, A. Seneviratne, P. Gunningberg
C4 focus on solutions for mobility management, in future wireless networks. My contribution here was a work on Distributed Network Address Translator (DNAT) as an alternative to Mobile IP. The DNAT work resulted in my Master Thesis.
