Introduction to Engineering Education Research

Prerequisites and selection criteria

The applicant should hold a Master degree in a field within the Engineering Sciences, Mathematics,
Physics, Chemistry or Computer Science, or have similar prerequisites, as defined above, or have similar prerequisites.

No formal prerequisites in education are required.

Exceptions can be granted, on an individual basis, for example for students in the last year of their master programmes or students with a degree in education and a documented competence in engineering.

The selection is based on the quality of the documents submitted in the application, with a particular emphasis on the preliminary research plan, the letter of motivation and the two letters of recommendation. The preliminary research plan is the core document for the evaluation. Its is mainly judged upon the research goals, the research questions and the research motivation.

Priority is given to students taking the full course, but students can also be admitted to single units.
