We will describe how quality of service can drive the real-time adaptation and management of a network, provided that users can prescribe their QoS needs, and the network can pursue these objectives based on self-observation and management. The discussion will be illustrated by experiments that we conduct on a large test-bed at Imperial College.
The talk will be based on Prof. Erol Gelenbe's recent publication
on ACM of Communications.
